I started Made In Hitchin with one main aim: to share my passion for sewing.
I’ve always wanted everyone to feel relaxed and encouraged, while learning tailoring-standard sewing techniques. People call it “The Kaye Way”.

But it’s about much more than sewing . . .
People kept telling me that they gained much more from the classes than just sewing skills. They love the social aspect just as much – real “me time”, away from everything else, sharing experiences with other people from their local area. Many have formed lasting friendships. I now place as much importance on the social side of our classes. We organise Sew Socials, where people come back to chat and sew together, plus a host of events . . . keep checking this website for latest news, or sign up for our free newsletter.

All our courses are accompanied by an interactive course workbook, which takes you week by week through all the techniques you will learn, with tick-off checklists and places to stick all your examples. This then acts as a reference handbook to keep by your machine at home. We also offer support from our Social Sewing WhatsApp group. We are always on hand when you need us!
